But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.

– Mark 16:6

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15 that the risen Jesus was seen by more than 500 eye witnesses. Many of whom later went on to die martyrs deaths for their testimony. None of them recanted.

The Christian faith rests completely upon the resurrection of Jesus. If Christ be not raised then we are still dead in our sins. But then if He is risen, as the Angels and eyewitnesses testified, then it’s all true. Genesis to Revelation.
