“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
– Revelation 16:15
Paul, in his first letter to the Thessalonians, used similar language when he wrote, “For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night” (1 Thes. 5:2). Paul there also wrote, “But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief” (1 Thes. 5:4).
Christian, be watchful and ready for the coming of the day of the Lord, so that you are not taken, unaware.
