“Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.”
— 1 Peter 3:10-11
Is there anyone that does not desire to love life and see good days? If there is, I’ve yet to meet them. The New Living Translation records it, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days.”
Yes! I do.
Thankfully Peter gives us the equation to an enjoyable life with many happy days ahead. Keep your tongue from speaking evil and telling lies. Turn away from evil, do good and seek to bring and maintain peace.
Today’s goal
Enjoy life, have a happy day… Don’t gossip and tell lies. Turn away from evil and seek for opportunities to do good.
