Revelation 12
Devotional
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
– Revelation 12:10-11
Many of us believe that the words of Revelation 12 have not yet come to pass. That means that the accuser of the brethren (the Devil) still has access to God, before whom he accuses us day and night. How do we overcome such constant testimony against us? “By the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.”
Face it; the word spoken against us by the accuser of the brethren is pretty much all true. We are wicked through and through. We have no standing in and of ourselves. But we have been justified, because Jesus died for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3). That’s our testimony, and in the court of Heaven, that’s sufficient evidence to acquit.
