“Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic,
– Mark 2:9-10
Mark reveals Jesus as the Son of God with power and authority over all creation. The story of the paralyzed man in Mark 2 is a magnificent display of the glorious power of Jesus, which extends beyond earthly illness and maladies, to the pardon and removal of sin.
