Matthew 25
Devotional
If Matthew 24 is a word on the end of the age and the coming of Christ then Matthew 25 is primarily about our response to the teach. This is the application for our lives. If we believe that Jesus will one day return, how shall we then live?
The Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24 and 25) ends with words of application in the form of illustrations and parable (24:37 – 25:46). The ultimate teaching is clear; until Jesus returns faithful servants are those that are watching and waiting and working for the King and His kingdom. Because one day the King will return, usher in His kingdom and reward His faithful servants.
Today’s Goal
Jesus promised that He would return. He hasn’t come back yet. That means there is a lot of work to do till He does. Don’t be a spectator. Get serving!
