Matthew 28
Devotional
When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
– Matthew 28:17
This is one of the most paradoxical verses in the Bible. The disciples see, with their own eyes, the risen Lord Jesus Christ. The same Jesus they watched be crucified and laid in a tomb, dead. They see Him, and worship Him, and yet “some doubted.”
As paradoxical as that is, I can identify. So many times in my life I have seen God’s miraculous power, and yet I still doubt. How easily I am lead away by my flesh and temptation to doubt the awesomely powerful Lord I know and serve.
“Lord, help me to trust in you, without doubting.
