Luke 11 – The Listening Plan

But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

– Luke 11:28

In Luke 1 it is recorded that the Angel Gabriel announced to Mary, “blessed are you among women!” In Luke 11:27 it is recorded that an unnamed woman in the multitude of Jesus’ followers raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” Luke 11:28 is Christ’s response.

Yes, Mary was and is most certainly blessed among women, but you and I have the opportunity to be blessed also, and even to a greater extent. How? By hearing and doing the word of God.
