Luke 2
Devotional
And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
– Luke 2:49
To me this has always been one of those semi-funny stories of Scripture. Jesus’ family unknowingly left him behind as they departed Jerusalem to return to Galilee. They were separated from their 12 year old son for 3 days before they found Him reasoning with the priests and religious leaders at the temple. Three days! Of course it wouldn’t be the last time He would be lost to His loved ones for three days. And always He was “about His Father’s business.”
