Luke 24
Devotional
Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! “Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
– Luke 24:25-27
I can only imagine how wonderful a sermon that must have been. Beginning at the Law and through the Prophets, Jesus (Himself) preached from all the Scriptures the things that had to do with Him and His suffering! I wish I had that transcript.
We must never forget that the “volume of the book” is written of Him (Psalm 40:7 & Hebrews 10:7). Therefore we must (in our reading in the Old Testament as well as the New) look for Jesus on every page and in every paragraph.
