“If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.
– Acts 4:9-10
Again we are confronted with the bold proclamation of politically incorrect truth. One wonders how Peter—the denier of the Lord on the night that Jesus was betrayed, arrested and condemned—became so bold to speak in this manner? Well, we do not have to look very far to understand where Peter’s boldness came from, for the answer is found in the previous verse where we read, “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said…”
To boldly speak the truth, we need the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
