Devotional
And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
– 1 Corinthians 6:11
When considering the sinful church at Corinth, there is a danger of slipping into a high-minded self-righteousness. That is especially true when we look down our noses at the sinful world around us, openly practicing every lawless deed imaginable. But Paul reminds us, “and such were some of you.” Thankfully, we’ve been pardoned by Christ and are in the process of being purified by His grace.
