And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation,

– Romans 15:20

In his lifetime Paul traveled (primarily on foot) from Israel, to Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Greece and ultimately Italy. Several other places are on the list as well (Cyprus, Malta, etc.). Everywhere he traveled he went as a man on a mission. His aim, “to preach the gospel” where Christ had not yet been preached.

2,000 years later there continue to be pioneers like Paul, venturing out to reach the yet to be reached. In some respects it is hard to believe that the mission remains unfulfilled. But it is. Thankfully, we’ve been given a prophetic spoiler in Revelation 5 and 9. The mission will one day be fulfilled!
