We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,

– 2 Thessalonians 1:3

Paul was a true prayer warrior. He felt a certain sense of obligation—but not begrudgingly—to persist in prayer for those who came to faith through his ministry. To the Philippians he wrote, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy.” May it be that God stirs us to persist in prayer also.
