Hebrews 1

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
– Hebrews 1:1-2
Though God has spoken to us in these last days by His Son, Jesus; the author of The Book of Hebrews quotes the Old Testament no less than eight times in the opening chapter of this grand and glorious book. The author of this book (and there has been considerable debate on that topic for many years) clearly had a vast comprehension of the Hebrew Scriptures.
