looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
– Hebrews 12:2
Fix your focus upon Jesus! He endured profound suffering, beyond anything we can fully comprehend, to secure our salvation. The difficulties of this life become more bearable when I realize (1) the suffering He endured for me and (2) the promise I have received as a result of it.
