how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

– Hebrews 2:3

As I mentioned previously, the author of the Book of Hebrews has been discussed and debated for many years. Probably the majority opinion is that the Apostle Paul wrote it. But Hebrews 2:3 casts doubt on that view, as the author of this book was not an eye witness or firsthand hearer of Jesus’ message and ministry. In my opinion, the author therefore could not have been Paul.
