Hebrews 3
Devotional
For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
– Hebrews 3:4
The author of Hebrews here brushes by what philosophical apologists refer to as the “teleological argument.” The teleological argument is the argument for the existence of God based upon the fact that there is an ordered universe. Even children can deduce that there is an artist when there is art, that there is cook when there is a meal, that there is builder when there is a building. “Every house is build by someone.” Therefore, how did all things that exist come to be? “He who built all things is God.”
This actually is connected to one of the major challenges of atheism, which even modern atheists recognize today. The issue of the fine tuning of the universe begs the existence of God. Don’t miss this, and don’t be embarrassed to profess your belief in a Creator God. The evidence is in your favor.
