The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
– 2 Peter 3:9
God is patient. Sometimes we forget this essential truth. But God’s patience has been evidently set forth in that this time of grace has now extended for 2,000 years. And while we do not know how much longer the Lord will tarry, we know this for certain, He is long-suffering, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
