James 1
Devotional
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
– James 1:4
Too often the joke has been made, “Don’t pray for patience… you’ll get trials.” But the fact is, whether you pray for patience or not, you will get trials. As individuals living in a fallen world, trials are a realty, but patience as a byproduct of trials is not. The only way to glean the precious fruits of patience and completeness through trials is to accept, on the front end of the trial, that God intends to use this in my life for His ultimate purposes and my ultimate good.
