The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.

– Revelation 1:1-2

The Listening Plan began at the end of last year as an experiment. I launched it with just a few subscribers and now we have over 800 (and growing) who receive this delivered to their inbox every morning. As we come to the last book of the New Testament and approach a new year in just 1 month, I want to take a moment to thank you for subscribing.

The Book of Revelation is a fascinating book. Many have toiled and travailed over this text to understand it’s glory. But in doing so we need to make sure we do not miss the opening five words. This book is “the Revelation of Jesus Christ.” If you read this book to discover secrets surrounding the end of days, the antichrist, the great battle of Armageddon, and you miss Jesus, then you’ve missed the entire point of this glorious book.

Read it slowly; read it carefully; read it prayerfully, and read it looking for Jesus.
