“But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.
– Mark 13:7
As Jesus begins his biggest discourse on the end times and His return He opens by explaining the things that are not a (or the) sign of His coming. Wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, troubles and persecutions are the realities of life in a fallen world, but “The end is not yet.”
It is our typical response to crisis to immediately assume that it’s an indication of apocalypse, but so far every cataclysmic happening hasn’t brought on the end of all things. So remember, “The end is not yet.” Jesus will return, but He hasn’t yet, so stay engaged in the work for His kingdom.
