Devotional
And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
– Luke 4:3
The devil knew who Jesus was … that is, he knew Jesus’ true nature. “If you really are the Son of God, then prove it. Prove that you have His nature. He can make something out of nothing. He certainly can make great out of stones.” The devil had no problem with God existing in human form, he just wanted Jesus to do something profound and miraculous.
Why is it that we so often want Jesus to prove His power too?
