Acts 7
Devotional
Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
– Acts 7:57-58
A disciple of the great Rabbi Gamaliel. The same Gamaliel that had given counsel in Acts 5 to the religious leaders in Jerusalem saying, “And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”
Gamaliel’s student must not have received that memo. Or more likely, out of zeal, he purposely disregarded it. We’ll see how that worked out… in two days.
