As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison.
– Acts 8:3
I wonder what Saul thought of his Rabbi Gamaliel’s counsel to the Sanhedrin in Acts 5. Did he think that Gamaliel had lost his zeal and steadfastness for the faith (of Judaism)? Whatever his thoughts, Saul wanted to destroy the “way” of Jesus of Nazareth, and any followers of that way.
