Acts 9
Devotional
Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
– Acts 9:4-5
And the words of his Rabbi Gamaliel had to have rung in his ears… “but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”
I imagine that Saul choked on his words in a big way as we read in Acts 9, “So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?””
