Acts 26
Devotional
Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”
– Acts 26:28
Paul was a persuasive preacher of the Gospel of Christ. And as he stood before the carnal King Agrippa, proclaiming the good news, the hedonistic Jewish royal was in some respect affected. But how heartbreaking was his response? “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”
I wonder how many “almost persuaded Christians” there are out there. I love Paul’s response: “I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am, except for these chains.”
