2 Corinthians 11
Devotional
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
– 2 Corinthians 11:3
Paul’s pastoral heart is on full display here in 2 Corinthians 11. The great concern of a shepherd is for the loss of his sheep. Especially if the sheep over which he is tending are the sheep of another shepherd. And that’s certainly the case with pastors.
The Church is Christ’s flock, and pastors are given a stewardship to shepherd the flock of God. As a pastor, I take this call and commission very seriously. Therefore, I can identify with Paul’s pastoral fear.
