For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy.

– 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

It has been said many times over that when this life is done you’ll take nothing with you into eternity. But that’s not entirely true. The only thing Paul hoped to take with him, that which would be his joy and rejoicing in heaven, was the eternal lives of those that came to faith through his evangelistic efforts.
