Philippians 2

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

– Philippians 2:3-4

My sinful nature is not humble. By nature I do not esteem others better than myself. Only by God’s grace and the strength of Christ can I look out not only for my own interests, but the interests of others. When reading the exhortations of Philippians 2:3-4, I am grateful for the promise of Philippians 4:13.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

– Philippians 4:13
