God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

The apologists Francis Schaeffer authored a book in the 1970’s entitled “He Is There and He Is Not Silent.” Sometimes we need to be reminded that God has spoken. He speaks through creation, revealing His existence, intelligence and power. He speaks through conscience, revealing His morality and justice. He has spoken through the prophets (of old) revealing His nature and will. But more important than all of this, He “has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.”

Never forget the words of the Father in recorded in the Gospels.
