Devotional
For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
– 1 Peter 3:17
It’s not good to suffer! I hate suffering. I hate it personally and I hate seeing others suffer, too. Some Christians seem to try to positively confess that, either, they’re not actually suffering, or that the suffering they’re suffering is actually something good. Suffering isn’t good!
But it is certainly better to suffer if God has some will, purpose and plan in and through it than to suffer for doing something wrong or stupid.
Remember, some suffering is actually for the glory of God (John 11:4).
