“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

– Revelation 21:4

Though there are many frightening, dreadful and sobering visions in Revelation, we (the people of God) ultimately have this optimistic vision of the future. One day our God will wipe away every tear from our eyes. One day there shall be no more death. One day sorrow and crying will be no more. One day there shall be no more pain, for all the brokenness of this broken fallen world will pass away.
