Don’t forget that this is real history! Jesus actually came, lived, taught, ministered, performed miracles and transformed lives. Remember, He still lives, teaches, ministers, performs miracles and transforms lives. This is history, but it’s also HIS continuing story.

Also, don’t miss the three times in Matthew 2 that the Gospel writer uses the word “fulfilled” (Matthew 2:15, 17, 23). Jesus came to fulfill the law and the prophets, and that’s exactly what His life does.
