“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

– Matthew 5:3

Access to and apprehension of the Kingdom of Heaven is only for those who recognize their poverty of spirit, and repent of their sinful failures and spiritual inadequacies. Oh the blessed joy of realizing your impoverished spiritual condition, mourning over it, and therein finding the wonderful comfort (Matthew 5:4) of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit.
