The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

– John 1:29

Jesus came to cleans and redeem us from the curse, power, and stain of sin. The sacrifices of the Law could only cover sin for a time. But Jesus takes away sin completely.
