Acts 27
Devotional
But after long abstinence from food, then Paul stood in the midst of them and said, “Men, you should have listened to me, and not have sailed from Crete and incurred this disaster and loss.
— Acts 27:21
You can’t get any better than an Apostolic “I told you so.” That’s exactly what this was. And it was completely warrented. Paul had warned the captain of the ship and the centurion, who had authority over him. But they certainly were not going to listen to a prisoner with little seafaring expereince. And as a result they were now going to reap the consequences.
I wonder how often we have a God given intuition that we overlook or set aside for expediency or out of inconvenience. We may have reaped bitter consequences more than a few times because of it.
