For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;
– 1 Corinthians 9:19
Paul was committed to the winning of the lost, through the gospel of Christ. He dedicated all that he was and all that he had to this endeavor. It seems as though every waking moment was given to the work of winning sinners to Christ. And Paul was creative in his pursuit of doing so, as this passage reveals.
The words of Paul in this passage are a challenge to me. They should be to any follower of Christ. Paul was so convinced of the importance and power of the Gospel that he sought every opportunity in every place he went to make it known.
