Romans 14
Devotional
So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
– Romans 14:12
There is an aspect of this revelation that is truly challenging. The realization that I will one day stand before God to give an account of myself to Him is exceedingly sobering. Yet at the same time I am grateful that, by the grace of Christ, I will even be able to come before His presence at all. And though there are many failures and shortcomings in my life that I’d rather not appear before Him with, I know that I stand before Him in grace, and His love will cover the multitude of my sins.
“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the LORD,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.
— Isaiah 1:18
