and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

— Ephesians 4:23

This renewing happens by “the washing of the water, by the word.” It is by the transforming power of God’s Word, and the working of the Holy Spirit. And as it is accomplished we are blessed to be able to “prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God,” in and through our lives lived for His namesake.
