We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

– 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

Paul rejoiced in prayer for the Christians in the City of Thessalonica, because they had three really important, God given characteristics: faith, hope, and love.

God desires that you and I would grow in our work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
