Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

– Colossians 4:6

This is a challenging exhortation. Let your speech always be with grace. I’m not very good at that. My speech is sometimes with grace, and often times over-seasoned with the salt of sarcasm, and sometimes snippiness.

May God empower us to be gracious in our speech, and sparing in our salt, so that we know how we ought to answer one another.
