1 Timothy 6
Devotional
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
– 1 Timothy 6:6-8
In a culture such as ours, perhaps one of the most difficult things to develop is contentment. We are bombarded continuously with advertisements tempting us to be discontent with the things that we have. I’m convinced that it is only by God’s grace and enabling power that contentment will ever be a reality in our lives.
Lord, help us to be content with such things as we have!
