…that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,
– Hebrews 6:18-19
The hope of the refuge we have in Christ Jesus, is an anchor for our soul—that part of us that worries, frets, and feels anxiety. Therefore, as the Psalmist wrote 3,000 years ago, when your heart is overwhelmed, be led by the Lord to the Rock that is higher than us. A shelter, and a strong tower form the enemy.
