“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
– Revelation 3:20
Many times this verse is use evangelically, but it is good to be reminded that Jesus speaks it not to unbelievers, but to the Church. It is striking to see Jesus knocking upon the door of His church, hoping to be invited in to dine with His people.
Have we put Jesus outside of our churches? I wonder how many churches in our day would not be so welcoming to the Rabbi from Nazareth?
