Revelation 4 – The Listening Plan

Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

– Revelation 4:6

I think the most dominating feature of Revelation 4 is the throne in the heavenly seen. There is a throne in heaven, and it is not vacant. Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father. And, as Isaiah foretold thousands of years ago, the throne of David will be occupied “from this time forward, even forever” (Isaiah 9:7).
