So He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city.
Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”

– Matthew 9:1-2

In the previous chapter the Gergesenes came out and asked Jesus to depart from their region. So He got in a boat and left. And immediately he came back to His own city, and there he began again minister with power.

Sadly, the Gergesenes missed out on the ministry of Jesus.
