And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!

– Mark 10:24

Though it is difficult for us—at times—to trust wholly in the Lord (remember the text in Mark 9, yesterday), we so quickly find ourselves trusting in the riches of this world. The tangible (though fleeting) wealth of this world can be a massive barrier keeping us from the Kingdom of God. Beware that you not be ensnared by the folly of trusting in riches.
