‘It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”

Many of those that have thought on the famous story of the prodigal son have failed to recognize that the story actually has two prodigals. Of course we know the one who squandered his inheritance with riotous (KJV) living. But if we’re not careful we can miss the older brother who responded with anger and jealousy at the grace of his father.

Rejoice in the Father’s grace! Don’t be angry when He is merciful, gracious, and forgiving.
