“Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

– Luke 17:3-5

I love the response of the disciples to Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness. Forgiveness is not easy for us. We are far more apt to opt for retribution. But God highly values forgiveness. And thank God that He does, or else none of us would be worthy to approach Him. Therefore, if God is so exceedingly gracious and forgiving, we should seek to be so, too.
